Mark Copeland pioneered The Sheepfold of Suffolk, Virginia as an Independent Charismatic church which he pastored from 1990 to 1992.  He has subsequently established PrayerLinks Ministries and the Advocates in Prayer Web site to connect intercessors with hurting people in need of prayer and encouragement.  He is the author of After This Manner, Pray (Bridge-Logos Publishing), The Prayer Watchman (Xulon Press), and presenter of the "Revitalizing Your Prayer Life" seminar.  He holds the B.A. in Religion from Berea College, Berea, Kentucky and the Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California.

THIS SEMINAR IS AVAILABLE to churches, ministries, and Christian gatherings desiring to develop a biblical understanding of prayer and a disciplined lifestyle of prayer.  It will enrich the prayer lives of those called to a ministry of intercession as well as those simply committed to advance in their personal prayer lives.  

"Revitalizing Your Prayer Life" draws upon the teachings available on this website.  It's objectives are as follows:

  • To introduce each session with highlights of other prayer ministries on the web that serve the Body of Christ through prayer strategies and resources aimed at impacting the United States and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • To present a biblical overview of prayer that demonstrates how prayer encompasses both a living and working relationship with God by employing the models of prayer as communication, communion, cooperation, and combat.

  • To emphasize the need for an effective prayer life if one is to have a fruitful ministry and to demonstrate how devotion in prayer is born out of a life of abiding in Christ.  

  • To help Christians grow in their prayer lives by establishing a time and place for daily prayer and by incorporating humility, thanksgiving, godly zeal, and spiritual watchfulness into their prayers.

  • To spur believers to strategic prayer by presenting prayer models such as lighthouses of prayer and prayerwalking.
